It’s become something of a winter tradition here at SG to roll out this clip of Denton storming the broadcast booth during a 2005 spring training game, so I’m gonna dip into that well one more time. Because nothing tells me “baseball’s comin'” more than seeing Denton — in his festive “spring training shorts” no less — asking Remy and D.O. to plug our book.
It was a magic moment. And we’re thankful not only that Remy gave us the plug, but that he didn’t have Denton tazed within an inch of his life.
As I watch this again, “storming” is clearly too harsh a word. More like “meandering by.”
