In 2002 the Minnesota Twins gave up on a young David Ortiz. In 2003 he hit 31 home runs for the Red Sox and was on his way to becoming a Boston legend. Nine All-Star appearances and three World Series championships later, Big Papi will visit his old stomping grounds.
Against his former club Ortiz has batted .333 with 15 home runs in 54 games. It’s his highest batting average against any opposing AL club (excluding Houston).
