This loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the guys who squandered the 1st and 2nd inning opportunities. Bases loaded with one out in the first and only one run scored. Bases loaded with nobody out in the second, only one run scored. Unacceptable.
But let’s just say Mike Timlin didn’t help matters. An errant pick-off throw, a terrible throw to third trying to get the lead runner on a bunt, and just some bad pitches. No doubt Mikey was chasing room-service people around the hotel with his cross-bow after that performance.
Time to stop sucking at Safeco Field, boys. Tonight would be good.
