Thankfully, tonight marks the final game with Bobby V at the helm of the Boston Red Sox. I think I have been sufficiently critical of all things Bobby since the day he was hired, and I will not miss him. He has done nothing to help the team redeem itself from last September, validating my opinion that Terry Francona was just a scapegoat. Clearly he wasn’t the only problem this season, but he was just as certainly NOT the solution. He came in with a .510 winning percentage in the bigs, and has managed to lower that.
This club has a lot of work to do before April. Starting with firing BV. Tonight, right after the game. No need to ever come back to Boston, we’ll ship your bike and your wrap makers and your pythagorean theory books to your new location. So long, douche bag.
