Just when you think it can’t get any worse…it does. Adrian Gonzalez getting ejected last night was just another example of the childish, me-first attitude this entire team has adopted. Here’s a tip Adrian: if you’re in the batter’s box, the pitcher can pitch the ball! Not the newest rule out there, not sure how it has slipped your attention for the past twenty-something years you’ve been playing.
A close runner-up for the award was Bobby V who came out to “defend” his player and found himself ejected as well. And the NESN team actually applauded this move. What am I missing here? Gonzalez was dead wrong and hurt his team with his foolish ejection. Why should that be defended by the manager, or anyone for that matter?
Get used to it, it’s not going to get any better.
