I’m just a big fan of the film Blade Runner, see?
This photo has nothing at all to do with how I envision the Red Sox to be clinging tenaciously to their last vestiges of hope as the second half of the season kicks off tonight in Tampa Bay. Rather, it’s an approximation of my appreciation of the 1982 Ridley Scott sci-fi masterpiece.
I expect the Sox to do just fine tonight, and for the balance of the season. The fact that Ellsbury’s back in action? Even better. Sucks that A-Gon is out tonight with illness, but you can’t have everything.
I’m Red. And I love the Red Sox’ chances.
And I love Blade Runner.
