This is the type of win that the Red Sox have had too few of this year. Cody Ross was having no part of a nut-busting 1-0 loss. After singlehandedly roughing up White Sox pitching last night, Ross struck again with another 3-run homer. This one a bat-flipping walk-off job.
It took a while to get the bats going, but the Red Sox threatened in the eighth and finally came through in the ninth. Credit Clay Buchholz and Alfredo Aceves for keeping this one within reach until the bats woke up. I haven’t felt this good about a win in a long time.
Bring on the last place Jays and bring your brooms to Fenway, the Red Sox are back!
