Somehow in my deep morose after the game yesterday I failed to mention David Ortiz’s 400th home run. I couldn’t be happier for the big guy, he’s been one of my favorite players since he joined the Sox in 2003.
I hope the boys enjoyed their off day and are ready to swing the bats against the Yankees tomorrow, because last place really sucks. I know people will say it’s only two-and-a-half games out of second…but it’s still last. As excited as I am for Papi’s 400th, I don’t want it to be the highlight of the season.
