He’s now the first base coach for the San Diego Padres, who are in town this week to play the Sox. So if during his time in town he happens into your establishment, understand that he is not to be charged for any alcoholic beverages. In fact, you should consider it an honor that he might sit his righteous, 2004 ALCS-savin’ ass down in your place of business and quaff free booze.
He’s the man who helped changed the course of mighty rivers in this city. And he has my undying respect and gratitude.
