With the wondrous Amalie Benjamin off the Sox beat, I’ve been wondering just how NESN plans to replicate the broadcasting one-two punch of Amalie and Heidi Watney on the pre-game show. The thought of Pete Abraham being wedged into tight pants and glasses is far too horrific to contemplate, so I’ll assume NESN is currently working on nailing down some quality eye candy to pair with Heidi and effectively balance the testosterone overdrive of the Gammons-Rice-Caron triumverate.
One candidate might be the weather-woman who offers up reports during the Dennis & Callahan simulcast. Pound for pound, she doesn’t quite match “the full Benjamin,” but she can certainly wear a pair of glasses.
