Well, step one in the save-the-season campaign was a success with last night’s win. It wasn’t pretty in the end, but as Paul Revere once said, “a win is a f@%king win.” Can I have an amen?
We go into the four game weekend series six games behind the Yankees and five-and-a-half behind the Rays. The Rays will be in Toronto, and unless they are suddenly struck down by an outbreak of SARS, they aren’t likely to lose the series. The Sox need three out of four to stay afloat. Winning tonight would be a good start.
