It’s been a banner few weeks for the folks who despise all things A-Rod. Count me in that camp, of course. For those of you keeping score at home, the glossy-lipped Yankee has been outed as a steroid user, made a half-assed admission/apology, was diagnosed with a cyst on his hip and a torn labrum, and now this:
“I wish he was leading off on our team, playing on our team,” Rodriguez said of Reyes, who hustled to take an extra base in the fifth inning, then stole third and scored in the Dominican team’s 10-1 win over the Marlins.”
“That’s fun to watch. “
Nice. I’m sure current shortstop and team Captain Jeets didn’t have a problem with the comment. Or current lead-off hitter Johnny Damon either.
