There are only two choices for A-Rod regarding how he handles the steroid news. He can admit it, apologize, and move on or he can deny the rumor and say he’s clean. Based on the outcome of other players who have been caught, the choice seems pretty obvious.
Jason Giambi and Andy Pettitte are examples of players who have owned up to their sins, apologized, and moved on. Both continue to be employed playing the game they love and making millions of dollars. Players who have gone down the road of adamant denial include Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds. Both of those guys are out of baseball and will most likely be wearing orange jumpsuits within a year and shaving their butts for Bubba and Ramrod’s enhanced pleasure.
Not much of a choice after all. But you never know…
