I know this is quickly becoming old news but I figured if I post it here, I’m sure to get some laughs when I read the comments.
We knew a few things about Roger Clemens before The Yankee Years came out. He was a great pitcher, he was a cheater, he screwed around on his wife, maybe with a minor, and he’s a liar. But man, just how twisted is this guy? Trainer Steve Donahue talks about how Rog would crank the hot tub to the hottest setting…then:
“He’d come out looking like a lobster,” Donahue said.
Then Donahue would rub the hottest possible liniment on his testicles.
“He’d start snorting like a bull,” the trainer said. “That’s when he
was ready to pitch.”
If this was a scene out of Bull Durham or Major League it would be hilarious, but when it’s real life, it’s pretty friggin’ creepy.
