Seriously, what kind of a world do we live in where footage of a teenage Jonathan Papelbon in drag doesn’t surprise me at all? But it’s true; when I got an e-mail from Comcast SportsNet, explaining that they’d somehow procured high school-era footage of Paps in wig and heels performing in some kind of Dirty Dancing-fashion show mash-up, it almost couldn’t pull me from the latest issue of Jim Belushi Weekly. But I eventually caved and watched the clips. And they’re madly entertaining. Here’s the preview:
You can see the rest of ’em here. But, honestly, I’m puzzled by the look of embarrassment on Papelbon’s face as his teammates react to the video. Christ, man, you’ve been on live TV, dancing in your underwear with a Coors Light box on your head. Unless someone’s got footage of you f#$king a tree while being whipped by a guy in a Winnie the Pooh costume, you’re safe on this one.
