Boston.com is reporting that the Red Sox will be honoring the Celtics prior to tomorrow night’s game at Fenway:

While no specifics were mentioned, a media advisory sent by the Sox indicated there would be a pregame ceremony to “recognize and honor the achievements of the 2008 NBA World Champion Boston Celtics.”

While no specific players are listed, the release indicated that the 2008 Celtics will be joined by team owners and alumni.

It staggers the mind to think how close the Patriots were to winning the Superbowl and that the Revolution almost brought home the MLS Cup, and combine that with what the Sox and Celtics have accomplished.
