Sean Casey was formally signed and introduced the the local media yesterday at Fenway and, true to his reputation as the friendliest guy in baseball, he looked positively giddy talking to Tina Cervasio and said all the right things during an interview featured on this morning’s Sportsdesk:
“I told Tito whetever role you need me in, I’m here to help the Red Sox win ballgames and here to be part of trying to win another championship. Whatever role you have for me, I’ll take it. This is really where I wanted to come and really where I wanted to play. I’m just so excited.”
So are we. And look, he’s even logged some time in the Sox dugout!
