“Psycho” Steve Lyons got axed by FOX for joking that Lou Pinella — who apparently is of part-Hispanic descent — ganked his wallet. Didn’t Don Rickles build an entire career on that stuff? Now folks lose jobs over it.
Seriously, we, as a society, must lighten up. It’s getting to the point that the only folks you can make fun of are white people. Oh, and the Irish. I mean, if Pinella was part Irish and started talking in a faux Brogue, prompting Lyons to say, “Woah, I bet you were out drinking all night,” would this even be an issue? Nope.
Honestly, I’m more offended by the woman holding the “Jeff Suppan: Cream of Victory” sign. Do I need that visual rattling around in my head? Christ, no.
