The ink wasn’t even dry on the contract when Dan Duquette made his first blunder as Orioles GM. In his opening press conference, Duquette inserted “Boston” in place of “Baltimore.”
“I’m glad they’re here today to share this new opportunity to build a perennial contending club here in Boston.”
A harmless mistake, but one he will be reminded of constantly if he doesn’t turn things around down there.
