Nineteen games to go and the Sox are still two-and-a-half back in the division. If not for a couple of extra-inning wins by the Orioles over the Yankees, the deficit would be four-and-a-half. Not only that, the Sox are just six-and-a-half up in the Wild Card over the Rays and about to start a weekend series with them. Oh, and John Lackey and Kyle Weiland starting the first two games.
