Since we started this blog back in 2004, we’ve had the good fortune to meet a great many cool fellow Red Sox fans. And a countless number of impossibly awesome folks we know only as names on a comment board, e-mail addresses and Twitter handles. But the one common thread is that whenever we go to bat for the Jimmy Fund, our readers make shit happen.
Case in point: a couple weeks back, one of our Twitter followers, nicky5489, sent us a message saying she wouldn’t be able to attend our Jimmy Fund fundraiser, but she still wanted to contribute. So she sent us six tickets to the Red Sox-Rays series at Fenway next weekend, hoping we could use ’em to raise even more dollars. As nicky5489 explained, she recently got some good medical news, and while her condition wouldn’t allow her to attend these games as she originally planned, she wanted to “pay it forward” and let someone else enjoy them while supporting a great cause.
So we’re proud to announce that these tickets — great seats in the State Street Pavillion and on the Monster — are now up for auction on eBay. Altogether, there are two pairs for Saturday night’s game and one pair for Sunday’s game. All four Saturday tickets are together… so if anyone’s interested in bidding on both sets, rest assured your group will be in four consecutive seats.
Here are the auction links:

Remember, every penny raised on these tickets is going to the Jimmy Fund. So if you couldn’t attend our fundraiser, here’s a great chance to get some spectacular seats and help kids with cancer. That’s a win-win if ever one existed.
