Whenever the Sox play in Oakland, I find myself thinking of game five of the 2003 ALDS. In particular, the final out, after which D-Lowe invited everyone on the A’s bench to munch his tweeter. Good times, those.
Tonight, the Sox are facing the 2009 version of the Oakland Athletics, a team which, pound for pound, has the most players with names that sound like cowboy and/or country singer names. Just check ’em out: Dallas Braden, Trevor Cahill, Josh Outman, Landon Powell, Jack Cust, Nomar Garciaparra… really, you could go on all day with this.
